Though differences are minor, WUFI knows 3 different standarts regarding the values of this table. If you do have different ones, you can set your own table in the "user defined" section.

Unlike WUFI®Plus, WUFI®Passive does not hourly data for calculation.

Localization

Localization

In the localization tab you can select your climate file. By clicking on the section cope, you can click on "user defined" and browse your own climate file. As WUFI®Passive does not need hourly data, it does need a different kind of climate files. It can only read .txt and .xls files with a special formation. This formation can be generated with meteonorm. See pictures below for examples.

Example .txt
Example .xls

If you have different climate files, you can still load them using WUFI®Plus. Click here for detailed instructions. When switching back, WUFI®Passive will automatically convert the data into the fitting format.

Climate

Climate

Similar to WUFI®Plus this section gives you short summary about the climate file.

Temperature

The first section shows the mean temperature of each month, which is also shown in the left graphic. On the very right the extreme weather conditions are shown, which are needed to calculate the heating load of the building.

Solar radiation

The second section contains the mean monthly solar irradiation, seperated into the four cardinal points. The right picture also shows the course of the graph and again on the very right, there are extreme weather conditions.

Primary energy/CO2-factor

Primary Energy

In this tab, you can see and set the primary energy factor (PEF) and the CO2-emission factor (CO2EF).
The PEF multiplies with the energy demand and varies depending on the chosen material, because into the PEF, the production process as well as the transportation of the energy source are taken account.
The CO2EF converts the energy demand into an equivalent amount of CO2. These two factors are important when looking into the sustainability of the passive house.
